ZuZanna’s Wellness began with one woman, a wooden spoon, and a bold idea: to make food that feels good and does good — without compromising on health, flavour, or joy.
What started as a few experimental batches in a small Midrand kitchen has blossomed into a proudly South African wellness brand that’s shaking up the sugar-laden status quo.
The Origin
ZuZanna’s journey began with personal health concerns — and the frustration of trying to find delicious, everyday foods that weren’t loaded with sugar or artificial junk.
But it wasn’t just about her. Her husband, Willem, was diagnosed with diabetes and struggled to find spreads that didn’t spike his blood sugar. At the same time, her young nephew Tiaan, who is on the autism spectrum, needed cleaner, additive-free foods to support his sensitive system.
When she couldn’t find what she needed, she created it herself. That decision sparked the first batch of jam… and the start of something bigger. 🍑

What We Stand For
The very first creations? Strawberry, Peach, Apricot — naturally sweetened, low-carb, and packed with real fruit. Feedback was immediate: “Finally, something I can eat without guilt!” From small markets to steady orders, these flavours laid the foundation for what ZuZanna’s would become.💜
